About:Beijing Weather in January

First visit to Beijing 1-4th Feb 2018

I will be therre from 1 February 2018 when I return from Singapore. Will it be very cold?
Will the air pollution be a huge problem? What precautions can I take?
What is the best day to visit - I have a choice between Friday 2nd February and Saturday 3rd February? One day I will visit the Great Wall and the other day I would like to visit the Forbidden City & Tiananmen Square. I fly home to UK on Sunday.

Thankyou

Yes, it will be very cold with temperature of 8C below zero – 5C.
As for AQI, it’s hard to say. Generally, there will be heavy air pollution in mid Feb, so it may be not serious in early Feb. Take your masks and always bring some water with you.
You are suggested to arrange your trip as early as possible, so Feb. 2nd is better.
