I'm married to a Chinese citizen. I want to stay longer in China. Can I convert my L into Q1 type without living in China? And what are the complete requirements for Q1 (family visa)?

The required documents include your passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, an invitation letter from your wife/husband and copy of her/his Chinese ID card, as well as your marriage certificate, and other documents the consular officers consider necessary.
