Hi, maybe you should apply for a tourist L type beforehand to visit Beijing. First, you need to provide a filled-out application form affixed with passport-style photo, your passport and its photocopy, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation, and then submit the application to the China embassy or consulate to apply for the L type.
