About:Urumqi Diwopu Airport

I cannot find specific information about Urumqi and the 24-hour transit visa.

Can you advise what to do if your stopover is longer than 2 hours - in my case 2hr40min.

I am an Australian citizen flying into URC (stopover 2hr40min), onto Guangzhou (2hr30min) and onto Melbourne Australia.

Diwopu Airport allows up to 2 hours' transit without visa, so a transit visa is needed for your case. Once getting one, you can also use it during the transit in Guangzhou.
