Requirements at qingdao airport

I'm going to be studying Mandarin in the city and l have my X1 visa.I will be coming from South Africa and one of my friends has offered to live with me in China.l wanted to find out what exactly happens when l arrive ,do l need to provide any information at the airport to prove that l will be studying?
