About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Go to Shanghai for weekend and then return home.

I am an Australian with an Australian passport. Can I come to Shanghai for a weekend and return to Australia without needing a visa ?

David, you cannot do that. You need to apply for a visa in advance to enter Shanghai because Australia-Shanghai-Australia is not a transit at all.
