lenght of visa before arrival

Question

I will be travelling 2 months prior to visiting China.  How long do I have before I must enter China.I have heard that once applied for is the Chinese entry permit good for 90 days before entering the country?

Hi, one can apply 3 months before your trip because the visa is valid for three months before your arrival, but usually one is advised to make the application one month prior to the trip.
