About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Resident (Green Gard) with Philippine Passport

Planning on going to the Philippines next year, on our way back to US we have a layover of 12hrs. planning to see some sights instead of waiting in the airport. Do you need a visa if you have a Philippine passport but have a green card from the UNited States.

Hi, Jennifer, I cannot tell you for sure if you need a visa or not unless you tell me the city you will visit.

Hi, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing if you travel like that. You need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport, then you can leave there to explore Beijing city. Nice trip!
