travelling from philippines to la with 14 hours lay over at shanghai pudong

Do i need to have a visa for my 14 hours stay at the airport?if i wanted to do a city tour while waiting for my flight what do i need to get?Thanks

Kaye, you can use 24 hr direct transit in Shanghai, and you may be required to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at there. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to do a city tour. Nice trip.
