Virgin Atlantic to Air China transfer in PVG

Hi - British citizen here travelling LHR to PVG with Virgin Atlantic then onward connection with Air China to Japan. Is the 30 minutes transfer window I-I still good for this connection and will PVG allow Virgin Atlantic to through check my luggage with Air China so I don't have to reclaim in PVG and recheck?

Thanks

Don’t worry, you don’t need to reclaim your bags here.
