About:China Visa Exemption

transit for a Bhutan passport holder

hi,
i have a flight from toronto-shanghai PVG airport and then a new one from shanghai PVG-Bangkok, its two different tickets so i cannot check in my luggage all the way, i need to recheck in my luggage in shanghai to bangkok, if so can i transit in shanghai without a visa? i dont plan to go out, just transit for around 5 hrs.

Hi, you can get the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai if you travel like that, and no visa is needed for recheck in the luggage in Shanghai.
