About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Netherland Passport. Possible to get the 72 hrs visa free?

I'm based in Malaysia now and will be flying from Malaysia - Shanghai - Malaysia

No, you can't get visa-free transit because you're not in transit. But Malaysia-Shanghai-Singapore would work, for example.
