About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong to London via shanghai

I am in China ATM on a business M. I may have to go to Hong Kong for work on Thursday. I have a flight booked out of shanghai with British airways on Sunday night. Can I fly into shanghai on a local airline and stay for 72hrs then fly out on Sunday on my booked flight?

Yes, you can do that as long as your travel route is Hong Kong-Shanghai-London. Don't worry!
