About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

4 and a half hours lay over at Guangzhou airport

Hi, I am a Philippine passport holder living in Switzerland . I will go back for a holiday in Manila on December , since I am taking the China southern airlines , we will have a lay over for about 4 and a half hours in Guangzhou airport , do i need to apply for a visa before hand? Your advice will be much appreciated . Thanks a lot... liza

Hi, Liza, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou if you only remain in the sterile transit area during the layover time.

Thank you Allan, appreciated your help. At least I am free worries now. Getting a Chinese visa is a nightmare as the China consulate is about 9 hours away by train from where I live. Thanks again.
