About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing transit for Russian passport holder

Hello,

I hold Russian passport and I'm transiting in Beijing for 18 hours only. Am I correct in understanding that prior to my trip I'm not required to go to the Chinese embassy and can apply for a transit visa directly on the arrival to Beijing? Thank you!!

Hi, if you will travel like Country A - Beijing (18 hours) - Country B then you don't need to apply for a visa beforehand, and you can apply for the 24 hour direct transit on the arrival to Beijing. Nice trip!
