About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Im flying from Melbourne via Singapore to Shanghai

I want to spend 2 days in Shanghai
I have a return ticket to Melbourne via Singapore
within the 72 hours

will this be ok

If you fly Singapore-Shanghai-Singapore it's not a transit. So you need a visa or you need to change your route.
