About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Connection flight. Can I apply for 72 hours visa?

I have the following travel schedule:
Amsterdam-Shanghai, Shanghai-Paris (France), Paris (France)-Amsterdam.
I fly from the Netherlands to Shanghai and stay in Shanghai for 72 hours and then I have a return ticket to Amsterdam via Paris in France. France is actually a stop, I do not have to go through immigration, I just 'transfer' in Paris before going back to the Netherlands.
Does that still count as me landing in a different country as the departure country?
Also, on my flight ticket, my flight back to the Netherlands is mentioned, so the authority can see that Paris is just a transfer.

The authority will not know on the ticket that you will be stopping at Paris therefore 72 hr transfer visa-free do not apply.

Amsterdam-Shanghai (144hrs)-Paris is absolutely fine without a visa. All other flights on your itinerary (except the one taking you into China and the one taking you out of China) are irrelevant to Chinese immigration.
