About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Connecting flight. Can I apply for the 144 hour visa?

Hello, my itinerary is the following: France-Shanghai, Shanghai-Holland, Holland-France.
I fly from France to Shanghai and stay in Shanghai for 144hours and then I fly from Shanghai to Amsterdam and I fly on the same day back to france. Amsterdam is actually a stop, I do not have to go through immigration, I just 'transfer' in Amsterdam before going back to france. Does that still count as me landing in a different country as the departure country?
Also, on my flight ticket, my flight back to France is mentioned, so the authority can see that Amsterdam is just a transfer.

Amsterdam must be indicated on the ticket as a stop on your return. Because this is not indicated, you will need to apply for a China visa.

You do not need a Chinese visa to fly France-Shanghai(144hrs)-Holland-France (assuming your passport qualifies).
