You don’t need it for you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Chengdu and Kunming. Nice trip!

So I went to the Chinese Embassy here in Cebu just to make sure and they told me that I should get a transit G. Now i’m confused. Of course I wanna save the hassle of filling up applications and paying the visa fee. What should I do?

If you doubt, you can try to check the information from Timatic, an IATA database which airlines use.
