I'm interested in teaching English in China. Since I don't know of anyone else in Jamaica who does this, I'm wondering if I can secure my work Z from here.

Hi, it's possible for you to get a work Z type from the China embassy in Jamaica as long as you can provide your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, a recently-taken passport-style photo, alien employment permit (your employer will get the last document for you). You can have a try!
