Returning to China after leaving

Hi I need to leave China in two weeks (to go to Hong Kong) but then I need to return to China for around 4/5 months after.

My inviter will not give me new documentation to come back to China, so I am really struggling to find a way. Any help would be great.

Hi, George, if your current visa will be invalid because of your visit to HK, you can try to apply for another one in there to re-enter mainland China. If it's a tourist L type, the invitation letter from the inviter is not required as long as you have transportation and accommodation arrangement for China.

Do you know if it is possible to apply for long term travel visa in HK? Or only in home country?

I'm sorry that I cannot guarantee that. You are advised to do that in your home country.
