Jamaican passport holder living in Japan

I am a Jamaica living in Japan. I need to go to the UK urgently to see my ailing grandmother. However, the flight I looked at say I will be stopping in Pudong international for 14hrs. Do I need to obtain a transit visa to pass through China. I do not intend to leave the airport. Thank you.

You don’t need a transit visa for that because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. Nice trip!
