About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

One way tix from Macau >> Guangzhou (2 nights) >> South Korea

Can I apply for the 72-hour free transit for my travel sequence?
I'm a US citizen and I will be in South Korea for a few weeks. During this time, I will travel on a one-way tix to Macau staying for 3 days (I was informed that I do not need a visa to enter Macau). Afterward I will be flying from Macau to Guangzhou (a one-way ticket with a few hour layover in Shanghai). I will be staying in GZ for 2 nights and then flying from GZ to South Korea on another one-way tix.
I hope this makes sense. Thank you for any help.

You need a visa because of your two stops in China.
