About:Four Great Inventions of Ancient China

Which invention do you think is the best?

I think the compass was the best invention because then they could tell were they were going if they were out at sea and didn't see any land and it is also a good invention for building things and lining there buildings up.

yes it was but it cant help building because it was made to tell the sellers whichway to go to find land it cant help build stuf it just cant if it cold it wod be an amzzing inviton to have it can help find recorsis so thay can build stuf.:):):)

I think paper because we use it all around the world, and most people use it EVERYDAY. I think gunpowder was a bad invention for today though because its mostly used in wars.

I agree,I believe the most important chinese invention is the compass because without the compass they would be lost while they are traveling the Silk Road.

I think that gunpowder was the best because it improve weaponry during wars in China and after China discovered gunpowder, they sold it to other parts of the world for them to use. Sadly, at one point, we had to use it against each other.

I think paper is the best Chinese invention because if you built a house, and you wanted to sell it, you would need to write that a house is for sale.

Next, I think gunpowder was the best invention from the Chinese because, it is a weaponry thing. It helps people live, in a way, and is a protection against the bad.

I would say paper, but the compass is more important because, in order to distribute the paper in the first place, you would need a source of navigation, or a way to help you navigate through foreign lands/waters.

Paper has many uses, but the compass is superior.

They are all great discoveries, but paper should be the most important for civilizarion. Gunpowder changed warfare, and compass traveling, both significant improvements in both fields. Nevertheless paper allowed not only better daily communication, which alone is of higher relevance, but most importantly allowed countless other discoveries. This is because it enabled an improved way of gathering and recording knowledge, experiences, observations, history and learnings that could be passed easily to subsequent generatiins to teach and learn faster, effectively preventing "reinventing the wheel" on all areas, and accelerating very significantly the pace of technology and knowledge advances that allowed without a doubt the level we have today.
