Do I have to apply to exit the airport before I arrive or is that granted at the Beijing airport? I am trying to go visit the Great Wall.

Hi, you don't need a visa if you fly to a third country or region different from the last one you come from after transiting in Beijing because you can apply for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing airport, then you can leave there to visit the Great Wall. Nice trip!
