Chinese tourist visa for U.S. citizen visiting South Africa

Can I apply for a tourist L (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Passport) while visiting South Africa as a tourist?

Hi, it's possible for you to get it in there as long as you stay in South Africa for not less than 6 months. Otherwise, you are advised to make the application from your home country.
