24 hour transit visa for citizen of armenia

Hello. I'm citizen of Armenia with US permanent resident green card. Coming back from Japan to USA, I have 7 hour layover in Shanghai PVG. Can I leave the airport and visit the city without a visa?
Thanks.
M

Yes, you can do that for you are eligible for the free transit in Shanghai. You need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office inside the airport, and then you can leave the airport to explore the city. Nice trip!
