Travelling from Melbourne to London via Beijing

I am a Australian citizen and would like to book a return trip from Melbourne to London via Beijing and would like to stopover in Beijing for two or three days. i would like to know if i would be eligible for the 72 hour free transit. Gillian

Yes, you are eligible for the 72-hour free transit. By the way, you need to tell the airline when boarding the flight to Beijing.
