Hi, do you mean you will travel like Palau-Shanghai-Bali or Palau-Guangzhou-Bali ? If yes, you don't need to apply for a transit G type for Shanghai. As for Guangzhou itinerary, if your layover time in there is less than 24 hr, and you don't leave the transit area during the layover time, no visa is required, either.
