About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Thailand-Shanghai-Hong Kong?

I’m a British citizen, if I travel from Thailand to Shanghai then to Hong Kong, would I be ok to use the transit visa?

Yes, you will be ok to use the 144 hour free transit program in Shanghai if you travel like that.
