About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Round trip to PEK (Beijing) Going to Japan

I found a great deal on a round trip flight to Beijing from LAX. I am looking at booking a seperate flight after 48 hours in Beijing to Tokyo. Would be gone 5 days, then come back to Beijing for 48 more hours. Would I need a Visa?

That's fine, as long as your flights are non-stop and your passport qualifies.

If your layover in Beijing won’t exceed 72 hours in Beijing each time, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit there. No entry permit will be needed then.
