About:Hangzhou East Railway Station

How far in advance do I need to arrive at Hangzhou East railway station?

I'm going to Suzhou on November 14 (for instance, 12:42 PM train). How long to buy the tickets, go through any required security, and wait in line for the train. In other words, how far in advance do I need to get to the station?

Also, are there other locations around (other than the station) where I can buy the tickets in advance? (I'm staying at the Doubletree Hangzhou East).

With paper ticket in hand, 40min would be OK. If you need to buy or collect the paper ticket before departure first, it would be better to get there around 90min in advance. It says online that there is a ticket office at No. 678 South Haida Rd., about 1km away from hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at No. 600 Jinsha Rd. But it is very small one, it may hard to find. Maybe you can aks your hotel to see if they can do it for you. Or you may go to east station by subway.
