About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying through Beijing to Nanjing

Hello! My boss has business in Nanjing and his green card is within 6 months of expiration, so we could not get a visa through normal processes. If he flies through Beijing and into Nanjing, is he eligible for the 72 or 144 hour free visit?

No. However, he can either fly directly from US to Nanjing and then to a third region, or fly to Shanghai from the US, then take a train from Shanghai to Nanjing, then back to Shanghai and fly out. Flying to Hangzhou works too.
