Is it advisable to visit Shangri-La during December?

My family and I are planning to visit probably around 10 December. Is it advisable to visit around that time of the month? Will there still be nice scenery and such due to the cold temperature? And, is the road to S-L safe? I'm afraid the road might be slippery and dangerous

To be honest, I don’t think it’s a good idea to the place in Dec. According to former data, it may range from 10C below zero to 10C.
And most of plants have been in hibernation period. So no good scenery during the period.
The road is okay and would be safe.
