Flying form london to Thailand

I have a flight from London to Banguecoque and it makes a stopover of 20h in BEijing. Do I need a Visa to visit the city before the 2nd flight? do I have to claim the luggage or only in the final destination?

Ana, no, you don’t need an entry permit for that as you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit. You can call the airlines to consult if your luggage will be delivered to final destination directly or you need to collect it on your own.

Yes, you can get it at immigration counter inside the airport.
