About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Melbourne - Guangzhou - Tokyo - Guangzhou - Melbourne

Would this itinerary be fine?
Does it mean I would be eligible for 72 hour free transit for "Melbourne - Guangzhou - Tokyo"
and another 72 hours for "Tokyo - Guangzhou - Melbourne"?
