About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Business Meeting

I'm traveling to Guangzhou and staying at Sofitel Sunrich Hotel arriving at 5 AM on Oct 23.
My departure flight is on Oct 25 at 3:30 PM. Do I qualify for the 72 hour free transit?
I do not transit anywhere only from Toronto to Guangzhou and back to Toronto.

You answered your own question: you do not transit anywhere. Obviously you cannot qualify for 72 hour visa-free transit. You either need a visa, or you need to change your flights.
