About:Dress Code in China

Have been asked to attend a great businessman's retirement banquet in Hong Kong

I am so down to earth,.. don't care about clothes, etc. please help me.... we are becoming very close friends, & looking for more. I only want to respect him & his culture. what am I to wear? I don't have a clue. thanks

Oh, you are advised to wear a suit. In Chinese culture, you should wear decent clothes in order to show enough respect to others.
