About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA for Hainan question

Hello, I was wondering if you still get the visa on arrival in Hainan if you have to transit through Wuhan or Guangzhou... It's just a 1 hour wait between flights, but I heard the VOA is only given for DIRECT flights into Hainan... Any info or experience with this?

You cannot because VOAs for Haikou or Sanya is reserved for those who clear immigration and customs there. In your case you'll be clearing immigration somewhere else.
