About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vientiane (Laos) - Kunming - Shanghai - Canada

Hi,
I am planning on flying back from Vientiane (Laos) to Kunming (2hr layover) to Shanghai (2 day layover) to Montreal (Canada). With this could we use the 72 hours permit to see Shanghai?

Thank you!

You have two stops in China, and this immediately limits you to 24 hours transit (from scheduled arrival in Kunming to scheduled departure from Shanghai), unless you get a visa.
