Hello, My wife will work in China for 1-2 years and I would accompany her during her stay.

She will have a work visa, but can I apply for a work type also? Or do I get only get the type for accompanying her? Do I need a job to apply for a work type?

Felipe, if you just want to accompany her, you can apply for an S1 type, but the S1 type cannot allow you to work in China.
If you want to work, a work Z type is needed.
