Prior passport for visa application

I’m planning on travelling from Australia to China (Beijing and Shanghai) for 10 days in late November. I’ve booked flights and accommodation, and started the visa application form last night.

I noticed that a relatively new condition is to include a prior passport as well as the current passport (if issued after 2015). I renewed my passport late last year and have my new passport, however I now can’t find my old passport.

I do have a copy of the information page of my old passport - does anyone know if this will be a problem when applying for my tourist visa?

Hi, personally I don't think you will meet any problems for the application in your case. You can tell them the truth that you cannot find the old passport. If you are still worried, you can contact the CVASC to inquire that before you make the application.
