About:China Student Visa

I‘am an American citizen with a 10 year multiple entry tourist Visa for China.

I'm in China right now and I want to apply for a year long multiple entry student type to study in China

What will be the most efficient way to apply， could I apply here in China or Hong Kong？

Hi, you can try to convert your current L type to a student X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to go to HK for that.
