Z visa in hong kong

Hello, can Americans still apply for a Z visa in HK? The website says you must be a HK or Macau resident to apply. Have things changed?

Hi, it's possible for you to apply for a Chinese work Z type in HK. But it is difficult to get a visa in Macau if you don’t have residence permit there. So maybe you can try to do that in HK.
