I am going to catch a Yangtze cruise at 21:00. I'm planning to take a train from Beijing which arrives in Chongqing at 20.30. Will I have enough time to reach a boarding pier for 21:00?

I am afraid that time is not enough to reach the Chongqing port at 21:00 if your train arrives at 20:30. Generally it may take half an hour for you to go out of the train station, then another one hour drive to the port if traffic is smooth. Thus, I would suggest you take an earlier train so that you have enough time to catch the cruise.
