How to get from Chengdu to Xiahe with one night stop in Songpan?

And is it true the road might be owed for foreigners? How to check it?

It may be hard to achieve this by taking long-distance bus. If ur destination is Xiahe, I suggest you forget Songpan. Just take a train or flight to Lanzhou first. Then at Lanzhou South Bus Station, there are direct buses to Xiahe.
