Travelling to China with criminal conviction

My family are travelling to China early next year to celebrate my 30th birthday. I would like my brother to come, but he has a criminal conviction from last year. They are looking at coming for two weeks.

Is there somewhere/someone I can contact to get clarification regarding this? Have been searching online but can only find vague and conflicting information.

Thanks in advance!

Tom, usually, the criminal conviction won’t have big influence on visa application, so your brother can just try to make the application and see how it is going. Good luck.
