6 to 8 hrs visit in beijing

Question

I want to visit Beijing on December, 2017 for 8 hours only during our stop over at Beijing International Airport.Therefore, I will not have hotel reservations to stay overnight. Do you think, they will give me a tourist visa to visit the place?Awaiting to your reply.Thank you,aurelio

Aurelio, if you hold US passport and travel like country A-Beijing (8 hours)-country B, you can use the 24 hour direct transit. No need to apply for a tourist L type then. You can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can visit the city.
