Tourist visa for China, applying as a Dutch tourist in Myanmar

Is it possible to apply for an entry permit at the embassy of China in Myanmar when I'm visiting Myanmar on a tourist entry permit?
And how long will it take?

Hi, that's possible for you to make the application in Myanmar as long as you can provide all requirements. It usually takes four working days for the processing. You can have a try!

Have you did this recently yourself? I tried it in Bangkok but it's only for fereigners living in Thailand, if you're there as a tourist for short term (30 days) it takes 6 weeks to get the entry permit.
