visa requirements for my 17 year old sonmyself ( father )

My son and I would like to travel to Shanghai for 6 days November 17-22 2017 in order to watch my daughter as she works as a runway model during the filming of Victoria's Secrets Angel Runway show that is to be filmed on November 20th in Shanghai. My daughter, Maggie Laine Vitelli, is represented by IMG international agency. Her entry permit will be obtained for herby either IMG or Victoria's Secret. So I am only inquiring about a visa for my son and myself. My son, Carter Drake Vitelli, is only 17 however he has a passport. My question is exactly what type of entry permit do I need to apply for? Can I combine mine and my sons entry permit into one entry permit as he is a minor and will be only traveling with me? I also have a passport. Hi, both you and your son need to apply for tourist L type for that. But you can submit the your and your son's application to the embassy or the consulate on your son's behalf if he cannot go there in person.
